A redundant water main wrapped in Denso Tape™ has recently been discovered in Kings Park, situated on 400 hectares overlooking the Swan River and Perth CBD.
The Denso Tape removed from the pipe has a cloth carrier as opposed to the synthetic carrier used since 1969 in Australia, indicating that this particular pipe wrap has provided over 50 years of in-ground service with the pipe still showing no signs of corrosion on its surface.
Denso’s Petrolatum Tapes have a proven track record providing above ground, below ground and underwater protection for pipelines and other infrastructure dating back more than 80 years. Denso’s petrolatum tape wrap systems can easily be applied by hand to most surfaces in a wide variety of low to high temperature environments.
