Station Pier Pile Rehabilitation Works
Professional Diving Services completed the 2020 season of pile repairs at Station Pier in conjunction with Fitzgerald Constructions for Victorian Ports Corporation (Melbourne).
Denso Australia were the chosen material supplier for the project which involved the installation of SeaShield 70™ and SeaShield 400™ materials to preserve and rehabilitate the existing timber piles. With stage 5 recently completed, Denso supplied 420 lineal metres of Fibreform (SeaShield 400™) to rehabilitate and strengthen 112 piles, and 366 lineal metres of SeaShield 70™ materials to wrap 100 piles.
Denso have been involved in the refurbishment and maintenance of Station Pier since 2013 (with Professional Diving Services undertaking the repairs from 2017-2020) and is proud to be part of this year’s pile rehabilitation works which ran from May to November. Works were successfully managed through strict Covid-19 stage 4 restrictions while being completed safely and without delay or extension to the works program.
